Men’s and Women’s Basketball Are Heading To State!
Our boys are in the 5A state playoffs as an 11th seed. They play their first round playoff game against No. 6 seed Montbello Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. The game will be played at Montbello.
Our girls travel to Palisade on Friday to play Rifle High School. Mullen girls are in as a # 3 seed and Rifle is a # 6 seed.

Basketball Youth Camp
The Mullen High youth basketball camp is designed for athletes of all types. From introductory to advanced, this camp will focus on increasing skill development and provide a solid foundation in preparation for high school basketball. There will be drills, competition, awards, and much more.

Mullen HS Basketball OTA
This is a high intensity skill development and competitive camp that focuses on fundamentals, versatility in all positions, leadership on the court, team play, and much more. The purpose of this camp is to provide a catapulted jump start to the 2013-14 Mullen High basketball season.

Season Ends for Lady Mustangs
The Mullen Lady Mustangs 2012-13 basketball season ended Saturday night with a 52-27 loss against Broomfield High School. The team earned the right to play in the state tournament with a 7-7 Centennial conference record and an overall record of 10-13. With wins against Coronado (70-24) in the first round, and 2011-12 defending 4A State Champs Air Academy (49-36) in the second round, the Lady Mustangs were unable to beat the #1 ranked Broomfield in the Sweet Sixteen round. The team finishes with an overall record of 12-14 for the season.

(January 25, 2013: Denver, CO 80236) The Mullen Mustangs basketball team (Denver, CO), dropped 74-56 in Friday’s league battle with the visiting Cherokee Trail Cougars (Aurora, CO)
The Mustangs (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against Smoky Hill (Aurora, CO). The Buffaloes come into the 5A/4A Centennial battle with a 4-11 record. In their last battle, Smoky Hill dropped by Eaglecrest (Centennial, CO), 76-43, in a league battle.
Girls:
(January 25, 2013: Aurora, CO 80016) The Cherokee Trail Cougars (Aurora, CO) basketball knocked off the visiting Mullen Mustangs (Denver, CO), 45-35 in Friday’s league test.
The Mustangs now own a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Smoky Hill for a 5A/4A Centennial test on Wednesday, January 30. Mullen will clash with a Buffaloes squad coming off a 35-33 league win over Eaglecrest (Centennial, CO). The Buffaloes record now stands at 7-8.
